Hello, I'm Jennifer · Corrective Balance

This work found me when my own family needed answers.

Your natural path to wellness

I'm a board certified Traditional Naturopath in Wausau, Wisconsin. For more than 18 years, I've helped women, men, and children get to the root cause of their health issues — using herbs, supplements, functional labs, biofeedback, nutrition, and thermography, with clear direction and a plan you can actually follow.

Why work with a naturopath at all?

Because somewhere along the way, health care stopped having time for the question you are actually asking: why do I feel this way? Eleven-minute appointments answer a different question. Normal labs answer a different question. You are left managing symptoms and wondering.

A naturopath's work is the why. The whole picture of you, examined together: digestion, hormones, stress, sleep, history. Root causes instead of symptom whack-a-mole. A simple plan your real life can hold, and someone walking with you while you follow it.

The results women describe after working this way are on our reviews page in their own words: answers after years of searching, energy coming back, hope back. That is what this work is for, and it is why people drive from across the Northwoods to do it.

My story

It started at my own kitchen table

My education began the day my children were diagnosed with celiac disease.

I know what it's like to sit across from doctors and leave with more questions than answers. I know the late nights of research, the trying one more thing, the wondering if anyone is going to connect the dots. That experience didn't just change how I fed my family — it set the direction for the rest of my life.

I studied nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, then went deeper into family health at the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. My fascination with how toxicity and stress affect the body led me to advanced certification in Meridian Stress Assessment — the biofeedback scanning I still use in my practice today.

Studying under Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, I began to see just how much chronic illness, including Lyme disease, was affecting families right here in our state. I studied Bach Flower remedies at The Bach Centre, learned the healing concepts of Hanna Kroeger, and earned double board certification through Trinity School of Natural Health, with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and the American Naturopathic Medical Association.

When I added thermography, it opened a new chapter: teaching women that no single test holds all the answers — and that paying attention early is one of the most powerful things you can do for your health. Every certification I've earned came from the same place: a mom who needed answers, who kept going until she could find them for other people too.

How I practice

What you can expect from my care

Proactive, not reactive

We don't wait and see. We pay attention early, investigate what your body is showing, and act while your options are widest. That's stewardship, not fear.

Foundations first

Digestion, hormones, stress, inflammation — we strengthen the core systems before anything fancy. The body responds best when the foundation is strong.

Less is more

You will never leave my office with 30 bottles of supplements. You'll leave with a simple plan you can actually follow — and support to follow through.

The whole person

Body, mind, and spirit are connected, and so is your health. We look at the whole picture — because you can't divide a person into separate symptoms.

Straight answers

Simple words. Clear steps. Honest expectations. I'll tell you what I see, what I recommend, and what it will take — without hype or pressure.

Accountability creates results

Information alone doesn't heal anyone. Real change comes from consistent action with support — so I walk with you between visits, not just during them.

A faith-based practice

Whole family wellness — body, mind, and spirit

Corrective Balance is a Christian, faith-based practice — a ministry as much as a business. I believe God designed your body with a remarkable capacity to heal, and I ask the Holy Spirit to move in this work: to guide every scan, every recommendation, and every conversation. We serve local and long-distance clients of all ages within a nondenominational framework, we take a straightforward, honest, conservative approach, and we pray with clients who welcome it. Whatever your background, you are warmly welcome here — you will simply find that faith, hope, and prayer are part of how this house cares for people.

I thank God every day for this work, and for every client who trusts us with their health.
